Samsara Connects With $40M For Fleet Tracking Hardware

San Francisco-based Samsara, a developer of Internet-of-Things hardware used to track trucking and vehicle fleets, has raised $40M in a Series C funding, the company said on Wednesday. The funding was led by General Catalyst, and also included Andreessen Horowitz. The company said the round values the company at over $530M. Samsara develops fleet tracking, electronic logging (ELD), dash camera, trailer monitoring, and other products for the trucking industry, public transit, government, utility, and other industries.
