Agilent Buys Cobalt Light Systems

Santa Clara-based Agilent Technologies said on Friday that it has acquired Cobalt Light Systems, a developer of spectroscopic instruments for the pharmaceutical industry, applied markets and public safety. Agilent said it paid £40 million in cash for Cobalt. Cobalt Light Systems is based in Oxfordshire, UK, and has 52 employees.
