Intel's CEO Quits Trump Council

Brian Krzanich, the CEO of Santa Clara-based Intel, has quit President Trump's American Manufacturing Council, saying he did so to "call attention to the serious harm our divided political climate is causing to critical issues." Krzanich said he "already made clear my abhorrence at the recent hate-spawned violence in Charlottesville" and said "many in Washington seem more concerned with attacking anyone who disagrees with them." The move came after President Trump aggressively attacked Merck CEO Ken Frazier (who is African American) on Twitter for his resignation from his council; Frazier had resigned to protest Trump's lackluster response to the Charlotteville attack earlier Monday. Krzanich was also joined in the departure by Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank.
