VitalConnect Bumps Series C To $38M

San Jose-based VitalConnect, a developer of wearable biosensors used for wireless monitoring in both hospitals as well as for remote monitoring of patients, has bumped its Series C funding to $38M, the company said on Tuesday. The funding was led by MVM and Baxter Ventures. VitalConnect had announced the first close of the Series C in May of this year. VitalConnect develops a wearable biosensor which monitors eight different vital signs. The company said the new funding will go towards launching its wearable biosensor in hospitals and outpatient settings across the nation.
