PEAR Therapeutics Gets $50M For Treating Substance Abuse With Software
San Francisco- and Boston-based PEAR Therapeutics, a developer of software being used to treat substance use disorders, has raised $50M in a Series B funding round, the company said today. The funding was led by Temasek, and also included 5AM Ventures, Arboretum Ventures, JAZZ Venture Partners, Novartis, Singapore-based EDBI, and the Bridge Builder's Collaborative. PEAR Therapeutics says it has created "prescription digital therapeutics" for treating sustance abuse; the company also is working on "digital therapeutics" for treating schizophrenia, and a virtual reality app use to treat post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
