Percipient.ai Finds $14.7M For AI Tools
Sunnyvale-based Percipient.ai, a developer of artificial intelligence tools focused on providing analytics for national security, has raised $14.7M in a Series A funding. The funding came from Venrock. According to Percient.ai, the round valued the company at $58.5M. Percipient.ai develops machine learning and computer vision tools, which have been used primarily for national security, but which the company says it wants to apply to the corporate security market, as well. The CEO of Percipient.ai is Balan Ayyar, former US Joint Task Force Commanding General in Afghanistan. The company's Chief Product Officer is Raj Shah, former Head of Google Maps Data. Percipient's software looks at unstructured data, and looks for changes in patterns or hidden information in that data. More information »
