Drishti Gets $10M
Palo Alto-based Drishti, a developer of artificial intelligence software being used to monitor factory floors, said today that it has raised $10M in a Series A funding, which came from Emergence Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, and Benhamou Global Ventures. The startup--spun out of SRI International--says its software can "digitize human actions inside the factory" to help improve productivity, quality, and traceability. Drishti's CEO is Dr. Prasad Akella, who the company said was part of a General Motors team in the 1990's which develops the first "collaborative" robots. More information »
