Google Acquires GraphicsFuzz

Mountain View-based Google has acquired UK-based GraphicsFuzz, a small company which develops automated software for testing graphics drivers that run on Android. Financial terms of the buy were not announced. GraphicsFuzz said its founders, Alastair Donaldson, Hugues Evrard and Paul Thomson, will join Google's Android Graphics Team as part of the buy, to help integrate their specialist graphics driver testing technology within the Android ecosystem. GraphicsFuzz is a spinout of the Department of Computing at Imperial College London, and was backed by funding from the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and the TETRACOM EU project.
