Tout Takes $26M

San Francisco-based Tout, which operates a video content network which links articles to videos, has raised $26M in a Series C funding round. The funding was led by Melohn Group, and also included Windsor Media (Terry Semel), Pittco Capital Partners, and HL Capital, along with Seavest Capital, 819 Capital, and the WWE. Tout, led by CEO Michael Downing, provides context relevant videos across a network of more than 2,800 websites; the company says it now is seeing more than 57 million unique video-viewers a month.
