Virtual Incision Raises $11.2M For Robotic Surgery
Pleasanton-based Virtual Incision, which is developing robotically assisted surgical devices, has raised $11.2M in a funding round. The funding was led by Bluestem Capital, and also included PrarieGold Venture Partners and the company's other investors. Virtual Incision's robotic devices are initially being aimed at colon resection, which is used to treat diverticulitis, Crohn’s disease, inflammatory bowel disease and colon cancer.
