VMware Names Asia Pacific GM
Virtualization software publisher VMware reported Tuesday that it has hired Andrew Dutton as general manager of its Asia-Pacific region. In this role, the Palo Alto-based firm explained, Dutton will oversee strategic planning, business development and management of several key functions. VMware said he will report to Carl Eschenbach, the company's executive vice president of worldwide field operations. Dutton hails from CA Inc., where he was senior vice president and general manager of its International Business division. He has also held senior management positions with BEA Systems EMEA, IBM Software Group Asia Pacific, Visa International Asia Pacific and Australia’s Norwich Union Financial Services Group.
