YouCaring Buys GiveForward

San Francisco-based YouCaring, the operator of an online fundraising site focused on compassionate causes, said today that it has acquired GiveForward, a site for crowdfunding medical expenses for individuals. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. GiveForward was founded in 2008. The companies said GiveForward has helped people raise nearly $200M since it was started. YouCaring focuses on personal, medical, and charitable causes, and says it has helped people raise around $550M for their own cuases.
