Zirtual Acquired By Startups.co

San Francisco-based on-demand, personal assistant service Zirtual has been acquired by Startups.co, according to founder Maren Kate. According to Kate, Startups.co will purchase Zirtual, and all its assets, and restart the service, in a deal which was brokered only in the last 24 hours. Zirtual said the abrupt shutdown of the company came due to "burn", after the company failed to secure more funds--and was unable to make the company's next payroll.
