AscenVision Acquired By Texas Firm

San Jose-based AscenVision Technologies, a company which develops WAN traffic management hardware, has been acquired. Allen, Texas-based Xtera Communications announced the acquisition earlier this week, but did not disclose financial terms of the deal. AscenVision, which was founded in 2000, was venture backed by New Enterprise Associates, ARCH Venture Partners, and Wellcome Trust. Xtera is a provider of optical networking hardware.
