Google Buys BlindType

Mountain View-based Google acquired BlindType, a developer of touch typing technology for mobile devices, BlindType said Friday. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. BlindType's technology allows users to type in text into a mobile touchscreen, without having to accurately hit keys. The firm's software predicts what was intended to be typed based on finger position and likely word combinations.
