Google Buys Jetpac, Will Shut Down Service

San Francisco-based Jetpac, a developer of mobile city guides, has been acquired by Mountain View-based Google. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. As part of the acquisition, Jetpac said it would be removing its apps from the App store, and ending support for those apps by 9/15. Jetpac had been backed by Khosla Ventures, Morado Venture Partners, Jerry Yang, and others.
