HeyStaks Gets $1.4M, Taps Former Yahoo VP For CEO

Irish-based social web search firm HeyStaks Technologies has raised about $1.4M in funding, which will go towards opening up an office in San Francisco and expanding its products and operations, the firm said today. The firm, which develops a service which allows users to categorize their online searches into folders, said the funding came from The Ulster Bank Diageo Venture Fund, managed by NCB Ventures. The firm did not say where it plans to locate its San Francisco office. As part of the funding, the firm said that it has appointed Jonathan Dillon--former VP of Corporate Development at Yahoo!--as CEO, as part of the funding and new San Francisco office.
