ITRenew Buys Splitted-Desktop Systems

Newark, California-based ITRenew, a provider of data center hardware lifecycle management technology, said today that it has acquired Splitted-Desktop Systems SAS (SDS), a French design and engineering firm focused on open hardware compute and storage systems. Financial details of the buy were not announced. The two said that the deal includes the U.S. subsidary of SDS, Horizon Computing Solutions. ITRenew is led by CEO Aidin Aghamiri; SDS was led by CEo Jean-Marie Verdun, who joins ITRenew as part of the deal. ITRenew is backed by private equity investor ZMC.
