LiveDeal Acquired By Arizona Firm

Santa Clara-based LiveDeal, the online local classifieds site headed by Rajesh Navar, has been acquired by Arizona-based YP Corp., an operator of Internet Yellow Pages services. YP Corp. said that it will pay approximately $12M in stock for LiveDeal. LiveDeal was backed by Torstar Corporation and Draper Richards, and had most recently raised $4.85M in a Series B funding in October of 2005.
