Metaio Acquired By Apple

Augmented reality developer Metaio, a developer of augmented reality software, has been acquired by Apple, according to German legal documents. Metaio developed applications which allowed users to interact with virtual, computer generated elements overlaid into real life physical environments. Metaio has stopped selling and supporting its products. Details on the announcement have not been formally announced by either company. Metaio was based in Germany.
