Microsoft Mediaroom Acquired By Ericsson

Microsoft Mediaroom, the Mountain View-based unit of Microsoft which develops IPTV software, has been acquired by Ericsson. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Mediaroom, which has more than 400 people worldwide, develops software which powers the set-top boxes of AT&T U-Verse, Deutsche Telekom, Telefonica, TELUS Optik TV and Swisscom, among others.
