MobiTV Appoints CEO

Emeryville-based MobiTV said earlier this week that it has appointed Charlie Nooney as CEO of the firm. Nooney joins from Technical Network Services, a division of The Thomson Corporation. Nooney has also served as CEO of Premier Retail Networks, and at Disney/ABC Cable Networks. MobiTV is venture backed by Adobe, Gefinor Ventures, Hearst Corp., Menlo Ventures, Oak Investment Partners and Redpoint Ventures, and provides mobile television content and services.
