MoSys Buys Prism Circuits

Sunnyvale-based MoSys, a provider of systems-on-a-chip (SoC) technology, said over the weekend that it has acquired Santa Clara-based Prism Circuits. MoSys said it will pay $13.5M for Prism Circuits, in addition to approximately $6.5M in earn out, based on certain milestones. MoSys said it acquired "substantially all" of Prism's assets and business in the deal, including adding a team of engineers, and a design center in India. Prism was a developer of parallel and serial interface intellectual property.
