Novare Surgical Gets $16M

Cupertino-based Novare Surgical Sytsems, a developer of instruments for minimally invasive surgery, has received $16M in Series D financing. The firm said the funding will be used to commercialize the company's RealHand instruments. The funding was led by Point Judith Capital and Tudor Investment Corp. Existing investors Thomas J. Fogarty, M.D., CHANNEL Medical Partners, Canaan Partners, and Asset Management also particpated. New investor Deerfield Partners also was in the round. Gina Raimondo of Point Judith Capital joins the board as part of the funding. More information »
