Oracle Buys Captovation

Redwood Shores-based Oracle said Wednesday afternoon that it has agreed to acquire Captovation, a provider of document capture solutions. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Captovation, based in Eden Prairie, MN, develops software used for streamlining capture of documents for business applications and processes. oracle said the acquisition is expected to strengthen its Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software portfolio. The deal is expected to close in February.
