Oracle Buys Lodestar

Redwood Shores-based Oracle said this morning that it has agreed to acquire Lodestar, a provider of energy metering and management products for the utilities industry. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Oracle said that the acquisition is part of a plan to deliver mission critical operation systems for the utilities industry. The deal is expected to close in May. Lodestar is based in Peabody, MA.
