Oracle Buys RightNow Software For $1.5 Billion

Redwood Shores-based Orcale announced this morning that it has acquired RightNow Software, a developer of customer relationship management software. RightNow Software is a direct competitor to Salesforce.com in the CRM software category. Oracle said the acquisition would help it offer a full range of cloud-based software, including sales force automation.
