PLAT.ONE Acquired By SAP

Palo Alto-based Internet-of-Things software developer PLAT.ONE said on Wednesday that it has been acquired by SAP. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Plat.One said its IoT platform will become part of SAP's Hana Cloud Platform. Plat.One was led by Dr. John Bates, and was founded by CTo Filippo Murroni. The company's products were used in the "smart city" market, for controlling such things as connected trucks or street lamps and sensors.
