Redbeacon Goes To Home Depot

San Mateo-based Redbeacon.com, which operates an online services to help connect consumers with local contractors, has been acquired by The Home Depot. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. According to Home Depot, Redbeacon will remain in San Mateo. The Home Depot was advised by Peter J. Solomon Company and Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in the deal. Home Depot did not detail what it plans to do with Redbeacon or its services.
