BARRX Medical Gets $27.8M
Sunnyvale-based BARRX Medical has received $27.8M in a Series C venture round, the firm reports today. The investment was led by Montagu Newhall Associates, and included existing investors Delphi Ventures, Alloy Ventures, Frazier Healthcare Ventures, Sutter Hill Ventures and others. BARRX is developing treatments for Barrett's esophagus, a precancerous condition related to GERD, gastroesophageal reflux disease. The company's technology is based on tissue ablation.
