Magma Acquires Simulation Software Provider

Santa Clara-based Magma Design Automation has acquired ACAD Corp, a provider of simulation and power analysis software for advanced ICs. Terms were not disclosed. Magma said today that it is making FineSim Pro, a product available as part of its acquisition of ACAD, to its customers. The software allows customers to simulate entire mixed-signal systems on a chip at the transistor level, and integrates with Magma's RTL-to-GDSII design tools or can be used standalone. Magma is a provider of IC design tool software.
