Google's Schmidt Joins Apple Board

Apple Computer said this afternoon that Dr. Eric Schmidt, CEO of Google, has been elected to the firm's board of directors. The position is the first board that Schmidt has joined, aside from his involvement at Google and a position at Princeton University's board of trustees. Schmidt has also served at Novell, where he was Chairman and CEO, and also CTO at Sun Microsystems.
