HP Closes Mercury Acquisition

Palo Alto-based HP said today it has closed its acquisition of Mercury Interactive. The $4.5B deal was announced in July. HP said that Mercury has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of HP, and that it will create a new HP Software organization around the Mercury'ss products. The all-cash deal was worth $52.00 per share of Mercury stock.
