Coremetrics Acquisition By IBM Closes

The acquisition of San Mateo-based Coremetrics, a developer of web analytics software, has completed, IBM announced Monday. According to IBM, the acquisition will expand its business analytics capbilities. IBM said it has hired on approximately 230 employees of Coremetrics to its IBM Software Group. IBM had announced the acquisition of Coremetrics in June, but has not disclosed financial terms of the deal.
