Gynesonics Raises $16.5M

Redwood City-based Gynesonics, which is developing a minimally invasive medical device to treat uterine fibroid tumors, said today it has raised $16.5M in Series B financing. The round was led by Advanced Technology Ventures, and also included InterWest Partners and Abingworth Management. Tom Rodgers of ATV and Linda Grais, MD of InterWest join the firm's board as part of the funding. More information »
