Oracle Sues SAP

Redwood Shores-based Oracle said Thursday afternoon that it has sued SAP in the U.S. Federal District Court in the Northern District of California. Oracle said that it claims that SAP is in violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act and California Computer Data Access and Fraud Act, Unfair Competition, Intentional and Negligent Interference with Prospective Economic Advantage and Civil Conspiracy. According to the lawsuit, Oracle claims SAP stole computer files from Oracle's Customer Connection web site without proper authorization, and used the files to offer support for PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, and Siebel applications.
