Therative Closes Series C Funding
San Francisco-based Therative, which develops a medical device for treating acne, has scored a Series C funding round. The new round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, and also included existing investors Foundation Capital, RWI Ventures, and Band of Angels. Amount of the funding was not disclosed by the company, however the round was worth approximately $9M. Therative said that it has now raised over $14M in capital. The company last raised a round in January, saying at the time that it had raised $5M in funding. Therative's product, ThermaClear, is an over-the-counter medical device for treating acne using thermal energy.
