Yahoo! Opens Search Marketing API
Sunnyvale-based Yahoo! has opene up a new program for access to its "Panama" search marketing application interface, the firm said this morning. Yahoo said that the new application programming interface (API) allows ad agencies, technology partners, and others to integrate and build on the firm's search marketing offering. Access to the programming API is free to partners. The company said that there will be multiple levels of access and support for the API program including basic free access; an advanced access program which also includes account management and service level commitments; and an elite level with partners that include Efficient Frontier, Omniture, SearchIgnite and The Search Agency.
