SonicWALL Buys Aventail
Sunnyvale-based SonicWALL said late Tuesday that it has acquired Seattle-based Aventail Corporation. The deal is worth approximately $25M in cash. Aventail is a maker of equipment for SSL VPN remote access. According to SonicWALL, the acquisition is expected to close in July of 2007, and that there will be no impact to its financial performance due to the acquisition. Aventail's remote access products are used by companies for managing enterprise security. Aventail has received more than $55M in venture capital funding.
