Bay Area Gets $2.5 Billion In Venture Deals
The quarterly venture capital report released by Ernst & Young and VentureOne this morning, found that there was $2.5 billion invested in the San Francisco Bay area in the second quarter. The report found that the Bay Area had 208 venture capital deal, out of 717 venture capital deals nationwide. For the U.S., total venture investments hit $7.4 billion, which the firms said was an 8% increase over investments in the same quarter last year. Total number of deals in the nation scored a record, as the highest venture deal volume since 2001.
