Yahoo Mail Exits Beta

Yahoo said today that it has launched the latest version of its Yahoo! Mail platform this morning, adding new instant messaging features that connect Yahoo! Mail with Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! Messenger and Windows Live Messenger. Other new features include the ability to send SMS text messaging to mobile phones from an email messaging window, and a new "Shortcut" feature which allows users to launch searches, diplay maps, and add contacts from emails. The new mail platform has been in beta since September.
