Google Set To Launch Ads On Mobile Search Site

Mountain View-based Google is set to launch advertising on the firm's mobile search site, according to an email to the firm's advertisers Tuesday morning. Google said that it will offer mobile advertising, initially for free, to advertisers who are searching Google from their mobile phones. According to Google, current search ads in Google's AdWords system will be shown on mobile searches from Google, with clicks being directed to automatically mobile-adapted versions of landing pages from advertisers. Google said that the free advertising will run until November 19th, after which it will begin its usual CPC pricing. Google currently offers mobile targeted ads through its systems on certain mobile web sites.
