HP Buys Atos Origin's Middle East Business

HP said today that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the Middle East business of Atos Origin, a provider of systems integration and consulting. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. HP Said it would acquire Atos Origin Middle East Group (AOME), which employs more than 450 in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Libya. HP said it expects the acquisition to enhance its SAP capabilities in the Middle East, reinforce its public sector and oil and gas markets, and also provide it with a geographic presence in Libya and Qatar.
