Intel Capital Funds REvolution Computing

Santa Clara-based Intel Capital said Wednesday afternoon that it has invested in REvolution Computing, a developer of parallel computing software for computation statistics. Intel Capital said it participated in the Series A financing of REvolution, which is based in New Haven, Conn., but did not disclose financial terms of the investment or other investors in the firm. Intel Capital said the investment came out of its Intel capital Open Source Incubator Program, which is targeted at accelerating adoption of open source on Intel platforms.
