Widgetbox Gets $8M

San Francisco-based Widgetbox announced Thursday that it has raised $8M in a Series B funding. The round came from Sequoia Capital, Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, NCD Investors, and private investor Michael Dearing. Widgetbox said the funding will go to build products and services for its developers and customers. Widgetbox operates an online web site focused on web widgets; the firm's site is used to find and show web widgets. Sequoia, Hummer Winblad, and Michael Dearing are prior investors in the firm.
