MontaVista Names New President, CEO

Santa Clara-based MontaVista Software said Tuesday that it has appointed Russell "Rusty" Harris as President and CEO of the firm. Harris replaces Tom Kelly, who has left the firm to serve as President and CEO of Epicor Software. Harris was most recently MontaVista's Executive Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations, and has also served at BlueStar Solutions, Documentum, and EDS. Kelly remains on the board as chairman. MontaVista is a developer of embedded, Linux operating system software used for real-time and embedded computing.
