Riverbed Names CIO

San Francisco-based Riverbed Technology said Thursday that it has appointed Thomas Bakewell as the firm's Chief Information Officer. Bakewell joins the firm from Coherent, where he was Vice President of Information Technology. Bakewell has also previously served at Brocade Communications Systems, Sun MicroSystems, Cobalt Networks, and California Microwave. Riverbed is a provider of wide area networking acceleration tools.
