Norwest Venture Partners Opens India Office

Palo Alto-based Norwest Venture Partners said Thursday that it has hired on Mohan Kumar as Executive Director of the firm's India operations, and opened up a new Bangalore office. NVP said that Kumar will focus on technology investments in India. Kumar has served at Corporate Vice President of Mobile Devices Software at Motorola, worked to establish Texas Instruments' business in Bangalore, and is an angel investor. According to NVP, Kumar's hire is the first in a plan to aggressively hire more senior investment professionals in the coming months for NVP India.
