Xoopit Gets $5M

San Francisco-based Xoopit, a firm developing services that allow users to manage pictures, videos, and documents in their email, said Monday that the firm has raised $5M in a Series A investment. The funding came from Accel Partners and Foundation Capital. Xoopit also said that it has launched a private beta of its services. Xoopit's service -- which currently works with Google's Gmail and photo and video sharing websites like YouTube, Flickr, and Shutterfly -- allows users to browse videos and photos embedded in their email messages, and post them to other sites.
