Google Looks To Sell DoubleClick's Search Marketing Business
Mountain View-based is looking to sell its DoubleClick's Search Marketing business, the firm said Wednesday afternoon, as it makes major changes to DoubleClick's operations. Google, which is reportedly also laying of 25% of its employees at DoubleClick, said it was splitting DoubleClick Performics into two units, split between Affiliate Marketing and Search Marketing, and will sell the Search marketing business to an un-named third party. The Affiliate Marketing branch will be integrated into existing Google operations. The move comes shortly after Google closed its acquisition of DoubleClick.
